Document Management System

Document Management System (DMS) is a web-based application which takes paper documents and converts them to electronic files, then stores them on secure servers at Flying J Communications. When you wish to access your company's documents, all you need is Internet access along with a valid username and password. Document Security
Document security is provided through firewalls and secure user logins. Each user is assigned a unique username and password and given access to specific permissions like searching or scanning documents, that are predefined by your company. Companies can also have their web portal customized with logos and colors making DMS a dynamic solution in appearance and functionality.

Storage Devices
There is no need for costly software or storage devices, when using Flying J Communications Document Management System. Using a PC and scanner, your company can connect to our ASP through the Internet, and access our state of the art servers to help you manage your documents.

Download Documents
Upon request, we can download your documents to a CD/DVD. This optical disk is equipped with easy search features similar to those available on DMS. The contents of an average four-drawer filing cabinet can be fit onto a single CD/DVD.

Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
OCR refers to the reading of text and translating the images into a form that DMS can manipulate. Text fields on a specific document type are identified. The text is pulled from the field and used to populate index fields.

Document Processing
DMS provides complete document processing to ensure that supporting documentation is printed to accompany hard copy invoices. Support documents are retrieved from DMS and then automatically matched with invoices and printed to produce a single, inclusive package.
